Specialist public sector support
The Public Procurement Act was signed into law on 23 July 2024. It has been established to address and legislate the South African procurement system. Significant changes have been introduced through the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act Regulations (PPPFR) of 2022 in relation to the advancements required for historically disadvantaged individuals. Government has further recognised that the procurement process needs to be more cohesive as officials and suppliers have found it difficult to navigate the ever-changing requirements.
Our extensive knowledge of the regulatory framework will allow you to implement your strategies through developing efficient, effective, transparent, fair and equitable procurement processes and internal controls. Our incorporation of the framework for infrastructure delivery has improved our supply chain management infrastructure advisory in most associated sectors. This includes tender reviews prior to awards being made by any entity, tender efficiency reviews and optimisation.
Across industries, BDO brings an in-depth understanding of the complexities of supply chain management activities and the unique challenges facing our clients' businesses. Backed by a global network spanning more than 160 countries, we can address both domestic and international needs.
