Dumisa is a seasoned expatriate tax and employment specialist with over 19 years’ experience. He Joined BDO in 2020 as the head of the Global Employer Services Department. 

He focuses on assisting multinationals with their employer obligations, not only in South Africa but the rest of the continent. He also advises on the best structuring and reward methodology for the different types of short – and long-term secondment agreements. He is involved in performing health checks and due diligence during mergers and acquisitions from an employment taxes perspective. 

Dumisa has led PAYE reviews in various public sector and private sector (Telecommunications, Banking, Consumer Goods) entities regarding payroll and PAYE compliance resulting in the assistance with corrective measures and approaching SARS for leniency in cases of non-compliance. He has also assisted numerous multinationals on their expatriate employee’s strategy and compliance.
