Anthony Pillay

Experience

Anthony has 15 years of extensive experience in internal audit, risk management, governance, investigations and internal controls. He has worked at provincial government, constitutional organisations, national government and has some experience with public entities. Prior to joining BDO Johannesburg in 2019, he managed the Internal Audit function as a CAE at the Department of Environmental Affairs for three years.

He specialises in internal audit, corporate governance and compliance, fraud & ethics management and risk management. His key strengths relate to analysis and review of complex information in the internal control, compliance and performance areas. His combined skills and experience in governance and risk advisory allows for broad spectrum application and analysis.
