Marlene Greeff

Marlene completed a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Accounting at the University of Johannesburg in 1995 and started her learnership at Price Waterhouse Coopers in 1996. She joined Baker Tilly SVG in 2000 as Senior Audit Manager, was appointed as an Associate in 2003 and as an Audit Partner in 2006. Marlene obtained her Master of Commerce degree in Business Management at the University of Johannesburg in 2002 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrated Financial Reporting followed in 2014, at the University of Pretoria.

Following a business buy-out, Marlene became a director at Baker Tilly JHB Incorporated in January 2018 and was appointed CEO in 2021. As technical and quality control director, she was responsible for ensuring the firm remained fully compliant with all technical, ethical and quality requirements. She has over 25 years of audit experience, having been responsible for a wide variety of clients, including listed entities and multinational groups, across multiple industries. Her experience in auditing and leadership will be a great addition to the Pretoria office and will enhance our contribution to achieving the firm’s six strategic pillars.
