Experience

Fayaz has experience in the provision of external audit services to the private sector, including private listed entities and subsidiaries, family owned businesses, fishing, non-profit organizations, property development, tourism and hospitality industries. She also specialises in the public sector, contracting her services to the Auditor General including the provision of pre issuance reviews.

Fayaz is also a Certified Internal auditor and provides internal audit services to the public and private sector.

Fayaz commenced her articles at PKF in April 2003 after graduating from the University of Cape Town. After completing her articles Fayaz remained at PKF where she was promoted to partner in 2010. On 1 January 2014, PKF (Cpt) Inc. merged with Grant Thornton where she remained an Audit Partner and also took up a position of Director of Risk and Advisory Services. Subsequently Grant Thornton Cape merged with BDO in February 2018 where Fayaz currently is an Audit Partner and specialises in Internal Audit.

Fayaz is a member of the BDO Global group of Next Generation Leaders (NGL), chosen by her global peers, Fayaz and her NGL partners have been tasked by the Global CEO to deliver value-added initiatives that would drive the ongoing development of BDO as a global organisation.
