Only citizen-owned trust company with IFSC accreditation

Kingsway Trust Co. (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of BDO in Botswana, recently received it's International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) accreditation certificate from The Minister of Finance & Development Planning, the Honourable Kenneth Matambo. Kingsway Trust Co. is the first and only citizen-owned IFSC accredited trust company in Botswana. Kingsway Trust Co. focuses on offering professional trustee services to both local and international trusts.

Speaking after the handing over ceremony Chris Bray, the Managing Partner of BDO in Botswana, stated that "In recent years the advantages of using Botswana as a trust jurisdiction have become increasingly evident, and that it is favourable when compared to the more common jurisdictions like Mauritius and the Isle of Man, which is why we often refer to Botswana as the Switzerland of Africa. This was a key factor in establishing Kingsway Trust Co".
